I have an AC signal whose frequency is 50Hz,then this signal is modulated by a sine wave signal whose frequency is 100KHz. At the same time, the 100KHz modulation signal is input the Lock-in Amplifier as reference signal, that is to say, the modulation signal is split into two branch, one for modulating the 50Hz signal to be measured, and the other act as reference signal. With external reference mode can I get the RMS value of the 50Hz signal(I have set the time constant to less than 5 milisencond to get the required pass band)? When I use the 7280 Lock-in Amplifier in this way,can the R displayed on the front panel imply the RMS value of the 50Hz signal? If not, what is the relation between the R and the RMS value of the 50Hz signal to be measured?Thank you!
