Have you checked the communications using the Comms Test menu? This will show whether the commands are actually being received by the unit and if it is trying to respond. The other possibility is timing, in that the computer is sending commands before the instrument has processed them. This sometimes happens with old DOS software running on new fast PC's. When the program was written it is possible that the GPIB Serial Poll was not used to verify that commands had been received and processed, but this did not cause a problem because of program execution speed. When you then run the same progrma on a fast PC the problem emerges. If you still cannot resolve the problem, send a program listing by e-mail to service@signalrecovery.com and we'll try to help.
