Model 5106
Lock-in Amplifier PCB Assembly

Model 5106 Dual Phase Analog Lock-in Amplifier PCB Assembly

The model 5106 is a full function, dual phase lock-in amplifier supplied as a fully working PCB assembly (please note this is not designed to fit into a PC) designed to be incorporated into a larger system as part of a signal processing facility where phase sensitive detection is a requirement.

The card uses two switching type demodulators to measure the magnitude of the of the input signal in-phase (X) and in quadrature (Y) with the applied reference signal, and outputs both analog and digital representations of these components. The analog outputs are provided at connector pins on the card whilst the digital values, and in addition the resulting signal vector magnitude and phase angle, are available as responses to RS232 commands.

The input channel contains selectable sensitivity control and signal high-pass and low-pass filters which are adjustable across a range of fixed frequencies. Signal, reference and analog output connections are made either by connector or soldering to Berg pins on the board. Power should be supplied to the on-board DIN connector from a remote source. The model PS0108 is available as an optional extra for this purpose.

Included with each unit is a copy of 5105Acquire, a simple but versatile Windows software package, giving access to all the instrument's controls and outputs. This software can also be downloaded from this site - for further details click here.

Further software support is available in the form of a LabVIEW driver supporting all instrument functions, which is available for download from this site.
